Driverside Door wont open!
I installed an amp to my speakers inside my doors (had to take my door panel off to do it) and everything was working fine for about a week or two. Then i tried to get outta my car one day, and BONK my door wouldnt. So now my driverside door is stuck closed and i cant open it at all. So i went to the honda dealership and they said it would cost 700 bucks to fix!!! Now the dude told me that if i somehow could take the inner-door panel off (he says sometimes they can do it without breaking it off) then i would save 184 bucks. So im not sure what the **** to do, because i just dont have 700 or even 416 to pay on a stuck door. So if anyone can help me, id give them oral pleasure in return.
Edit: i was just kidding about the oral pleasure, but the backdoor is totally open for buisness.

90-93 accord?? if it is what i think it is man you are in deep **** you better have those guys handle it,,to easier remove panel with door closed , remove frt seat it will make it a lot easier to work ,hope it is just a unattached rod if not it is a jammed up door latch there is an exact place you have to drill to brake the lock pin i used to have the pics where to drill and the presidure but lost them . maybe someone else here has them ,,,
Its a 2000 accord coupe. I hope its not a jammed door latch, but im suspect it is. I tried to open the door and it was like it was about to open, then bam it stopped half way. I had my girlfriend close it from the outside, and then it wouldnt open up at all anymore.
I ripped off the inner-window linner, and i can now see straight down inside the door. When i try and open the door from the inside i can see the long bar from the door latch move a gold lever door in the door, but it doesnt open for some reason. It almost feels like its locked.
If someone could get some pictures of the latch deserthonda is talking about, and explain them, that would really help me out. But in the mean-time, imma have to climb over the passenger seat to get out of my car.

Have you given it a good lookover. Maybe it is locked. Try fiddling with the lock rods and the levers they move on the latch.

you probably messed up the lock somehow...thats probably the culprit.....so make sure its all the way unlocked, and not caught on something.......it might appear to be unlocked if the door panel isnt popped back in correctly

This happened to my friend's 90 accord. His door got jammed. After long and hard seearching, he found a solution. He had to drill from inside the door at a certain spot to trigger the door actuator to open. This was very damn hard but saved him a new door. He went to junk yard and bought used actuator. Everything was fix.

xbn83 i think thats what my problem is. Because i can see straight inside my door from the top and all the mechanism's are working just fine. But for some reason it just wont open. Im pretty convinced that im going to have to drill a hole in my door to either break the latch, or release it from its closed state. Do you know any pictures, or know where i have to drill to get to it? The honda rep. told me that, thats what they have to do to fix it. But obviously, i dont want to pay all that money to open my damn door.

OP, what have you been able to figure out so far? Have you tried to see if the rod coming from the inner door handle to the acctuator is loose? That happened to me when I was replacing the lock acctuator. The door opended from the outside but not the inside. The culprit in my case was the rod came loose.
I did the hole thing.pushed the rod and...nothing.so i cut it out and when i checkedmost all the plastic was broken and jammed the mechanism. Thanks for the help.i chalk it up to warm days and -20 nites.
