Type R head with LS header???
hey guys,
a friend of mine is selling his dc 4-1 header made for the 94-01 non vtec heads. I wanted to pick it up but wanted to make sure if it would fit the type r head. if it fits, would it not perform as well since it made for an LS and not the type R. I assume they are all the same just the piping length may be slightly different. Let me know guys. Thanks!!!!

All the b-series heads have the same bolt pattern on the exhaust side. It will bolt up. The difference will be in the length of the b-pipe.
The LS and ITR headers have the same exact dimensions. In fact, many header manufacturers list the same part number for their LS header and their ITR header.

The '94-'99 GS-R header is shorter than the LS/ITR, due to the longer B-pipe that is found on those GS-R's. An '00-'01 GS-R header is identical in dimensions to the LS/ITR, and like those, it is often listed as the same part number by header manufacturers.
