got an 86 accord lx for $50.00 dollars
lets start buy sayin i know the car and who used to own it before it got neglected. and it used to move very quickly.as i've said b4 i'm just a sprout so plz be nice

on the block where the engine model is stamped there is a "BS" i cant find no info on it in the web pages i have looked at. plz tell me the skinny or where to find sum info

The engine codes for the 86 accord are the following:
1986 Accord: 2.0L(1955cc), BS, 2bbl, SOHC 12-valve
1986 Accord LXi: 2.0L(1955cc), BT, EFI, SOHC 12-valve
I assume you don't have the lx-i so your engine code would be the BS. If you want 3rd generation specific information I would check http://www.3geez.com. Here is a few links:

thanks 4 the info ken, could you plz tell me the generation scale(if thats whats its called)what honda's are in what generation is what i mean i guess . I do know that 1976 - 1981 is first generation (right?) and i think it goes every five years is a new generation. i should have learnded all this when i worked at Auto warehouseing company,if it payed more i'd go back.driving brand new honda's and acura's around a dock all day now thats fun!!!!!

I want to say the a20 was the jdm engine...some more reading on 3geez would probably net me the answer.
