I had to replace my 2 front tires on my 2000 prelude because one of them blew on the freeway.

I replaced them at the nearest tire shop and they charged me $95 each for Falken GRBs 205/50/16 and $25 for mounting and balancing.

so I'm wondering how much I got ripped off?

The price doesn't seem too bad for the tire itself, and Just Tires quoted me $29 for mount and balance a tire, after you got past all their absurd fees, that they try and hide. "Mount is $10 and balance is $10, plus $5 for the weights, $4 disposal fee on old tire." But if you call them on the phone, they tell you $10 for mount and balance.

Either way, sounds like you paid about normal for a B&M store.

 

$25 mount and balance is rather high. my local wal-mart does it for $11, most other places do it around here for $15 at most...
