How many of you bought your last bike new or used? in the first 12 months of owning it, have you had any mechanical problems?

 

It's my first bike and I bought it used. No problems unless you call changing the tire a problem but I don't.

 

Just bought a used CBR600F2, the only problem I've had so far is speedo doesn't work. Other than that it's been great. :knockonwood:

 

All three --> used, no problems.

 

2 used, one needed an engine rebuild at 4000miles and the 2nd clutch, tire, breaks, and trans was going out but i sold it. Ive had bad luck!

 

had mine for well over a year, only problem i've had is a flat rear tire on the fwy, but that had nothing to do with the bike.

 

Slightly used. I bought my '04 with 1000 miles. The only problem I have is riding and enjoying it too much!

 

new, no prob so far

 

Some older and vintage stuff - Used with no problems after careful inspection and general maintenance items.
Current everyday bike - New no probs except having to break it in

 

98 gixxer 750 w/ mods when I bought it from a girl. Only thing wrong is a twitching neutral light. haha sucks to stall sometimes.

 

I got my 01 EX250 about a few weeks ago, put about 500 or so miles on it, no problems so far!

 

Bought all my bikes used except for my latest 600rr. Never had any major problems that I didnt cause haha.

i bought mine used. saved a couple thousand dollars. no probs.

 

Used with extended warranty is where it's at.

 

Take someone who knows their **** with you and you will be fine. Any bad vibes then walk away, there's always a ton of others to look at.

i got my bike used and the only problem i got was clutch cable

 

Used and No Problem.

 

new. with factory warantee. no problems yet

 

99 r6, used ran it to 25k miles

sold it for 100 more than I paid i think the chick is dead though...she never called me to get the paperwork she was as squiddly as they come...pink velour outfit and helmet....she asked me how to change gears and rode it home?

 

i bought mine salvage and it runs great allready put over 200 miles on it before i even sent in the paperwork to the dmv for my new title

 

In the case that she's dead, would that bike still be considered yours since you still have all the paperwork? Just curious....
