Default 94 Civic running crappy

I know that problems similar to this have been discussed here before, but I am asking again hoping for some new ideas. My 94 Civix Dx (auto tranny) with only 95k miles idles rough. Also it seems that any time you let off the gas when you get back on it the car sputters, ie. such as going down hill, let up on the gas then back on the gas to go uphill the car sputters, stop at a light the car sputters on take-off. Also often times just going uphill the car loses power and sputters. NO codes or check engine light(and yes the light works). It's getting 30-32 mpg but I think it should get more... I had a friend try post to this yesterday but for some reason it did not show up on HT.. All help/advise is appreciated

Clean FITV
Replace fuel filter
Replace spark plugs
Replace rotor, cap.

Some ideas to get you going.

What he said, only one at a time in this order if you wanna save a few bucks:

Spark Plugs
Cap, Rotor
Fuel Filter
Clean IACV and FITV

IS your car over heating? Might want to check on that too, but what the others said.

umm wouldn't cleaning the IACV and FITV be first on the list because they're already on the car ? I dunno...
