Default Motor Mount Inserts?

I am going to be putting a lsvtec into a 92-95 hatchbach eg. The block is a b18b, I was wondering what kind of inserts do I need to purchase for this set up?

For eg's or for integras?

And what kind of inserts doyou recommend where it doesn't make my car do the harlem shake. Thanx.

This is a good question. I am sure someone here will have suggestions. It might be a good idea to create a duplicate thread in the hybrid forum.

Bump for a good question

If you want a real stiff race-like setup, try the Prothane engine mount kit. It replaces the upper timing belt mount, upper tranny mount, and rear mount with very stiff red plastic inserts. Be warned about these though, the car will vibrate pretty hard. If you want something a little more mild try the Energy Suspension mount kit. It replaces the lower engine block (A/C) mount, the lower tranny mount, and the rear mount with inserts that are a fair bit stiffer than stock. These are a bit easier on the vibrations, because there not nearly as hard as the Prothane material. Hope this helps.

I got the prothane kit and it is solid. only thing i don't like is the rear insert makes my steering wheel vibrate like crazy at idle. I might try the prothane side inserts with the energy rear for my daily driver.

u'll be using the integra driverside mount so you'll need the integra kit for Prothane. Energy u can use either one.

I dont know of any inserts that will not make your car shake. What I did find out is that if you replace all the mounts the vibration is not as bad as just replacing the uppers or just the lowers. Prothane/ES mounts here though

Aight, then I am gonna go ahead order me some Energy Suspension Mounts, I know it'll vibrate, hopefully not too much like my buddy says. I know the Prothane are the ones that makes the car vibrate. But now I know which ones I need to order, thanx.

And does it help THAT much with wheel hop and all?

it'll help a bit, but not a night and day difference. if you want to get rid of wheel hop, get some traction bars a la Z-10 radius rods... wheel hop will be gone

I but the ES inserts (black ones) on my vic and they work great. holds the motor pretty solid. If you are psyco serious about racing or want a nice looking set hasport makes some nice... but expensive sets.

for 30-40 bucks (ebay) the ES ones are a the best bang for your buck on a budget.
