H23...H22 TPS
Will the H22 throtle body and TPS fit the H23 intake manifold. I know that the bolts don't match but can I make it work? I really just need an H23 TPS but no one seems to have one. not even junk yards in socal. any info would be great.

No, the TBs will bolt up because the plenum is the same on both engines. There are many Honda TBs that are interchangable....even Edelbrock makes a universal Honda adaptor plate for their TB.
TPS's are also the same. I've even used an old Accord TPS from the junkyard on my H23.
BTW I do have an extra TPS I got from ebay if you're interested.

true throttle positioning sensors are all the small for most honda engines of the same year.... the only difference is that USDM have rivet screws that will need to be drilled out and JDM market cars use torx screws....

you could also use a dremel and "notch" the rivet head and use a flat blade screw driver to remove the rivet.

so i can use an H22 TPS on the H23 TB? would it have to be a USDM TPS or can I use a JDM one.
I know that the output voltage (.5 at idle and 4.5 at wot) is the same on both TPS' but i just worry about the holes matching up.

all honda TPS's are the same as long as its obd1 for obd1 and obd2 for obd2. The TPS works on like a cam system and has slots on it so you can adjust it. I would mark where yours is before you take it off and then put the new on back on.
Try not to mess up the seal around it too much. If you do use a thin peice of cardboard to seal it back up or something.

i dont think that all tps are the same. we scanned it on the computer . first we used the civic tps on a h22 (jdm) and it was reading 11% at idle and at full throttle it said 90%. then we use a 90 accord tps and still didnt come out right. it was like 5% at idle and 88% at full. i would say just change the tb.

it needs to be calibrated. i've used tps from many motors, they are all the same

I have a box full of H/D/F/B series TB's, they're almost all interchangeable and the TPS's are the same, but the JDM TPS's are cooler cuz they have torx screws instead of mushroomed screws that hold them in place.
