wrong on both but good try, thats optional not needed. *you dont need to run gsr tranny any B will bolt up if you use a cable one no tranny kit needed*

you can run a pr3 i've seen it but yea it sucks. converting to obd1 or 2 is better.
i happen to like my cable trannys so i kept it. hydro is just for sissy legged girly men

You know the hasport kit just turns the hydro trans into a cable one right? So your comment isn't valid.

Yes it is. Because you dont have to convert. You can either go with a b series cable or convert to hydraulic.

ok, first of all i was searching things like "b18 in EF" because the point of "searching" is to find something relevant to the info im looking for and not spending an afternoon looking through all theese files, so i gave it a refined search and came up empty-handed.

secondly, thanks for the line of info but can you be a little more specific as to what i need? (i have the money for a car + a swap, but the EG's arent flooding the market for now, the EF's are) but i don't know if the cost for theese "extras" will be worth it.

Thanks,

TL

Its pretty easy, but a number of things have to be addressed.
1st decide on whether you are going to use the hydro tranny with the Hasport conversion, or trade it up for a good cable tranny like a YS1. You'll need a mount kit, axels, shift linkage, rad hoses, throttle cable, and if you going obd1 (which you should) you need a wire harness adaptor. Some wiring is needed regardless.
An EG required most of the same parts, but you won't need mount kit, harness adaptor, or have to worry about install of the hydro tranny.

Oh, almost forgot. Hood clearance is an issue on the EF also.
