***Gears hard to shift HELP****
i have a 96 ls and my gears are really hard to put in and sometimes wont even go into gear (had to hazard and turn off car and pump clutch to work). i changed my oil and the gears shift perfectly for 1 run and once turn on again the problem continues.
i then tried draining my tranny fluid and filling with new fluid and the problem still continues....
Can someone help me out a help me solve this problem

just had this problem. does your clutch pedal vibrate at all. can you drive push down the clutch, take it out of gear, let up clutch then push down again and then put it in gear and works fine. if you can do this then check your clutch disc. your springs can be out of wack causing it not to go into next gear. i had same problem and thats what it was. hope it helps
Do you have a short shifter???
If so you might want to check the bolt that runs through the shifter at the bottom, if it is too tight it can make it really hard to shift. I know, I over tightned mine when i installed it and it was really hard to shift, and that was with no load.

no i dont have a shortshifter and killa my petal does vibrate back at me a lil sometimes when i push the clutch. sometimes that works pushing it down twice. but most of the time i have to put it in neatral turn off the car and pump my clutch a few times then it will go in gear.

i would prefer to have a new clutch if I am going to take the time to take the transmission off, but that is my opinion. Dont forget to have the flywheel resurfaced

not the TRANNY fluid the CLUTCH fluid. It sounds to me like you are either low on clutch fluid or there is air in the lines.

Let's just hope it's either a sping of the clutch disc or a pp lip...
The worst that could be is your syncro... But it would be hard to engage only in a specific gear...
You should do like me...Take all that **** out and put a stage II clucth/pp...

Doubtful. I don't think there's anywhere for it to go.
But, sure, anything can happen.
