I remember someone saying that the pr3 is not chipable, I am not sure why, but I remember it. And turboedit > 1000x VAFC.
I am getting rid of my VAFC asap. Once i convert to obd-1, i would rather run the stock ecu than run the vafc hack.

Well, I am glad I learned something new, thanks for the correction. VAFCs are still a hack.

so is there any point to chip it ...the guy who said that he would do it said its uberdata...my car already runs rich...and i really dont know sheet about vafc tuning..so i dont wanna really mess with it...im sure at some point in the powerband its a/f ratio is perfect but it runs rich all the time...i have a feelin that the motor has more potential but too much gas is holding it back..dont hondas run better a little lean anyways..i wanna lean it out a little..anything is better than too rich...if anyone has experience let me know..hearsay gets me nowhere
Throw your V-AFC in the trash and chip that thing! All an AFC does for you is fuel correction and VTEC control. With a chipped ECU you can adjust much more, Fuel and ignition tables, rev limiters, Full throttle launch, boost options for the future, VTEC control, and the ability to disable some sensors, are just a few of the bennefits.

i see..the problem with the chipping is that the guy lives all the way out towards san bernardino and i live by LA..iright now the car has:
cheap intake
engine ground kit
maxbore 64 to 62 mm TB
AEBS intake mani
dc 4-2-1 header
str fuel rail
b&m FPR
nothing internal has been touched yet...im installing cam gears tomorrow and building the head in the near future...so i dont wanna keep making trips out there to get it played with each time i add something....
i also got a full msd ignition but am having second thoughts about using it based on what some people have told me...anyone had any experience with msd sci..blaster ss coil..and a msd cap

Chipping an ECU doesnt always mean installing a "mugen" or "spoon" chip..

i wouldnt ever buy one of those ebay chips anyways....i heard they suck ballzak...the chip would be a custom tuned one if anything...i think im gonna keep running vafc until i get all the mods done..then im gonna go uber data...i just dont wanna keep re tuning it ya know...
