Default Brake Problem, HELP!

I'm having some serious issues with the brakes on my 88 civic (DX 4 door). When I'm sitting at a traffic light the brake pedal will slowly go to the floor. I have to let off and reapply the brakes at the light. A few days ago I was coming to a normal stop and the brakes made a 'thud". I bled the lines following the Helms recomended procedure using a one-man bleeder kit from Auto Zone. That didn't help so I bought a MC. I bench bled the MC and bled the lines twice. Still no stopping power. The e-brake does work though and I have no leaking brake fluid.

What else could it be? I have read every post about brake problems and I cant find the answer.

Could be your power brake booster.
