no spark...no fuel....wtf!?!? help me out fellas
ok, im cruisin down the highway at about 80 and engine just dies...no noises, smoke, nothing..pull over and cut it off, get out everything looks to be ok, nothing visually the matter. i tried to start, turns over just wouldnt start, towed it home and began the search for probs....
no blown fuses, main relay works fine, however fuel pump doesn't prime(usually you can hear it), and theres also no spark and no fuel on gauge on fuel filter(also cracked fuel line to rail and turned over.nota) i thought coil or somethign went bad, changed out entire dizy with friends working dizy, and still nothing..i ran a wire straight from battery to fuel pump harness and it made it prime and fuel press went up on gauge....anybody take a wild guess at wtf else it could be?

check the fuel pump ground going fromm the pgm-fi relay harness to the fuel pump for continuity. could be a short or break in the wire. somewhere.
how did you check your main relay to make sure it was workin fine, did you put a diff. main relay in?I still think it is your main relay goin bad try changing it out with a diffrent one if you haven't did so.
the main relay i checked is behind glovebox, and yes i changed it out w/ a good one out of a friends car...my car is a 96' so would there still be a relay under driverside of dash? or only the one behind glovebox?

Get yourself a Helms manual I don't know why people work on a car without one in the first place. It's like working blind on engine.
BTW like I said earlier: CHECK ALL WIRES GOING FROM PGM-FI MAIN RELAY GOING TO THE FUEL PUMP for continuity, breaks or damages.

i believe you checked the wrong relay, the main relay should be on the driverside under the dash and above your fuse box

Do you even have a tech manual aka Helms manual to use? It's stupid to work on a car without one in the first place. If you have it, it will show you exactlly the proper trouble shoot techniques to find the reason the fuel pump is working only if you hard wire it to the battery. Work smarter not harder.
