Are VIS carbon fiber hoods better than fiber images?

 

In my honest opinion, YES! My local shop had some Fiber Images hoods shipped in, and the carbon was laid pretty poo pooy. I got them to order me a VIS hood and everything is perfect! The fit is excellent and so is the carbon fiber. I highly reccomend it!

No way. i had both. the VIS imo was far inferior to the fiber images

 

.....i have seen only one of each.

The FI had larger fender gaps and came up 1/2" on one side...

The VIS was perfect.



Honestly, I'd take whichever was cheaper because I'll be drilling it for hoodpins.....

Oh well, it looks like I'll be getting in on yoshi's group buy when it comes out anyway!

 

I've seen ITR607's VIS hood and it seems crappy to me. Light as heck though. It is starting to crack on some parts like the hood latch area.

B2 - who hopes ITR607's hood is a VIS... who also has bad memory.

 

Well both of them is like; you love em or hate em/They fit or they don't fit. Flip a coin type of situation. The VIS use to suck pretty bad, but they have gotten better within the past year and a half. I personally stopped pushing Fiber Images a long time ago and just did my own stuff. my VIS hood. got it last year for $400.00 plus shipping for JDM hondaparts.com

beautiful quality. i can even mount the rubber hood seal perfectly on it, and the hood latch is strong as hell.

We sell VIS hoods for about 375.00, but a 375-425.00 margin is good.
