obd 1 conversion help
alright guys I am about to give up on this stupid check engine light but here it goes.....I have a a6/z6 mini me converted to obd 1, used jkobd conversion harness and rywire dizzy adapter, runnin a virgin p28 ecu. I have a code 9 that I cannot figure out what is the matter, I have gone through all the steps to test for a code 9, I have tested my ecu against a know good ecu, I just put in a new dizzy and still that code is there( dizzy isn't new but it still tests good on the CYP when I checked resistance). someone told me to switch the wires going to the CYP sensor and I tried that and still no luck.....I switched them back and I reset the ecu between everytime I did anything. cam and crank are in prefect alignment and timing is dead on.......Please can someone help me thanx

Try resoldering new connections at the ecu. Thats what was happening to me when i did my mpfi swap, there was a loose connection at the ecu, so it was throwing some kinda distributor code (limp mode). Try that, also, make sure the connection at the distributor plugs is good.
Here is what the manual says.

I did all of that....I even checked at the ecu ....I took the top off the ecu and check resistance and continuity to a ground on each individual and they all tested perfect thanx for the input though
Hmmm, The wiring seems right with your continuity test, and you used a known good ecu, right.
All thats left is to shoot yourself
Just kiddin.
Um, do you have any friends that can hook you up with another dizzy just to be sure?

yeah ecu is good I tested it against a known good ecu......I do not know any one else with a nother dizzy...but is that about the only thing that could be wrong is the dizzzy?
Yes, if wiring is right, ecu is good, the only thing left is the dizzy. I guess if it was me I would tripple check the wires, and make sure you have them plugged it perfect, and in the right position. You continuity all the way back to the ecu, right?

also see if you can have a friend look it over for you. sometimes you can be overlooking something and it takes another person to see it. this has happend to me before
