finally dyno tuned my 2001, had Ralphy at DRT tune it ... started out with 207hp and when he was done it left off with 219hp at wheels.
mods on the car:
AEM EMS w/Techedge wideband
Toda header
T1R testpipe
Ultimate Racing exhasut
- all else stock on motor, including stock intake setup. I bought a fake snorkel, will put that in soon as I get it.
I have a clutch and toda flywheel to get installed and a hondata im gasket to fight heatsoak.
BTW this was with heavy Work Emotion R wheels ...
I have some videos I'll post up later.
next mod will prolly be some Toda N2 cams and valvetrain.
this was on a dynojet 248C .. same place we'll have our dyno day and with same tuner, Ralphy
BTW, he tuned a 2.2 liter S2000 in Dominican Republic that just broke some road racing record in its class over there this weekend. He started off usin gthe 2.2 liter map then modified to my 2.0 liter.

thanks guys, yeah this motor is impressive. If course now I'm a glutton, trying to go after some Cams and already have the snorkel on the way.
Curious to know what the norm is for header/exhuast/ECU on stock motor ... and Vapor doesn't count LOL he's very abnormal compared to us

not trying to take anything away from vapor but i do believe that this is his dyno chart...church's dyno has been proven to read highers numbers as well...so you guys could be pretty much even

I think you should get the J's Header instead and change the Exhaust to maybe an Amuse. Those are really good numbers with a decent exhaust and a good header. Im sure wiht the J's header and a diff. exhaust such as amuse or J's, you will put out a bit more power then that. Great job btw!

yeah, I'm sure there is about 3-5hp in there to pickup from the Amuse header and maybe 2-3 from J's. Those things are too much money, hence the impracticality of swapping out for different brands, one thing is for sure S2K part prices are almost double that for b-series Civic and Integra parts.
I'll try to put stock wheels back on and the snorkel with a Toda flywheel to see how power/tq has changed.
Although Shawn's dyno reads higher it was still impressive for a stock motor. Vapor is always advising me on parts to put on the S2K anyway, he's very cool about what to try and so forth.
The Toda cams are backordered about 3 weeks. Apparently Toda Japan doens't stock them. similarly with the Throttel Injection system (aka ITBs), you cna;t buy them yet for the S2K ... I have a set of ITR Toda ITBs, maybe I should adapt them to my Jenvey F20C manifold ... heh
With a Toda/J's/Amuse header, decent exhaust and EMS I think any S2K that is maintained propely can put donw anywhere between 215 -225hp on a dynojet (with tuning).

we will find out when we dyno mine...
comptech cai...amuse header...amuse exhaust...j's test pipe...

my plan:
AEM V2
J's Header
J's 60RS
AEM EMS
if the 60RS does not work, i will get the T1R 70mm whenever it comes out. i should hit 220whp

i have the amuse r1 extra titan...
the j's header is really made for FI applications since its running a larger diameter for piping...its the thickest tubing you can get for a header...personally i wanted to run the amuse cause i was well pleased with their exhaust system...

Nishant, can you do me a favor please...can you get me the torque specs out of your book for the bolts that attach the header to the block...thank you...

the higher you go with compression and/or displacement on an all motor setup the more this type of header and exhuast will complement the setup.

basically, the more air ur pushing in/out, the more an intake/header/exhaust will help.

thanks for the links guys ...
the ITBs are a no no for now, will stick with manifold for now, maybe even hav ethe stocker cut,ported/rewelded
As for the cams, the prices are reasonable, I'll check with him.
