he didn't really give me the finger.

I heard him bragging about it before we went out so I purposely lined up behind him. gave him a lap to think he was fast while i warmed my car/tires up the blew by him in the back staight at thunderhill.

and my car was all stock at the time except for azenis, AEM intake and hawk pads.

i think the R is as fast in the staights as an M3, also a 04 cobra mustang has about the same speed in the straights

From another '97 stunna to another

Wish I had more pix of mine in action....

I dunno what was done to this E36 M3, but I'm pretty sure it was only a catback exhuast with intake and it was pulling on my car making about 180whp at the time.... I was trying to stay in his draft too....

the integra can sling out of the corners before the straights at thunder hill faster than just about any car I have ever ridden in/ driven. which is a lot

i swear i didn't think my car could keep up with any of the cars that went that day. but not even the car in the first picture could pull on me in the straights

It was a Shelby club event with TONS of horsepower, but i pulled the fastest laptime in my group (intemediate/advanced)

no, some guy took them and put them on the internet.

that's the only bad thing about track days, kinda hard to take pics of yourself driving

I would like to hear more about what you think makes your ITR so invincible. I've been seeing too much of this smack talk from people with stock or mildly modified ITRs lately on this forum. If you frequently participate in track days/Solo I trials events like I do, then you would be a bit more conservative with your comments about other types of vehicles.

I have driven an M3, and have seen my friends M3 in action on the track. It's a very formidable car if driven properly. My (non-daily driver) track car is 1998 ITR that has been professionally modified from the ground up at a cost of over 25k (over and above the cost of the vehicle). Some of you kids absolutely astonish me with your total lack of respect for other makes of vehicles.

But its a type AAARRRRR y0! they're the fastest things on the track lol. I personally wouldnt brag about beating on a mustang on a road course lol. In a strait line they get the bragging rights.

Second the guy had to have been nice with his m3 in the straits, excuse me if im wrong but HP logic would lead me to believe a 300+hp german car is going to be a little bit faster than a 179whp japanese 4 banger...

I'm not knocking your post at all but you are completely correct in saying in the hands of the right pilot only will the cars meet their full potential but then again not everyone is going to the track to see how big their dick is. Most people go to learn the full potential they can have behind the vehicle they brought up with them.

I thought that was the purpose of going to these road courses, I definately would like you to run H1 with the same zealous attitude hehe that should be good for a laugh

It looks to me like the m3 owner is waving you by. Just because you were passing them, means nothing as you don't know how hard they were really trying to get around the track. Just because they have the vehicle doesn't mean they are revving the hell out of the engine to try (keyword is try, as everyone knows a ITR is &gt; an m3 :/) to hang with you.

It's like a ricer flyby on the track with the ricer mentality, because if you pass them, you're OBVIOUSLY faster.

Here are a couple pictures of my poor little car that doesn't mean "JACK ****" on the race track...knucklehead.

I've passed cars that were, on paper, faster than mine. Vice versa too, when I'm cooling down or trying to let some traffic get farther ahead, or back when I was more Novice.

That's all he's saying, that between two cars at an HPDE that are 'sorta similarly' matched, the faster driver will turn faster laps. For example, I was passed by a stock RSX at Mid Ohio because I was coasting down the straight after the keyhole at about 70 to let some knuckleheads get away (a large train had formed).

I cant believe that this ITR forum is so leetist that when a fellow ITR owner says sum dumb **** like "My near stock ITR is just as fast as a e46 M3 in the straights."

You have to be kidding yourself son. In your first post you compare "the integra" to "the m3". When you get called out on it, you change it right around to "all about the driver baby!" *****.

And BTW, not only would a decent driver in the M3 had you your *** on the straights, but in the twisties as well.

Please stop feeding out bullshit to the little kids on here cuz I'm tired of explaining to people that 3rd gear vtec does not own everything on the road.

I'm definately not going for the good old hater-tech attitude, its just what the **** are you guys thinking when you allow one of your own to post up some complete bullshit like that?! Anyway, I need a beer.

If he was riding his *** through the corners, there's a reason the ITR blew his doors off on the following straight. The M3 lifted, just like he's supposed to.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by niterida &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i think the R is as fast in the staights as an M3, also a 04 cobra mustang has about the same speed in the straights</TD></TR></TABLE>

No chance, unless those drivers are conserving brakes. The M3, on a decently long straight, will faster than the ITR even if the M3 starts the straight parked at the track out point.

I've had instructors tell me to coast for the 2nd half of straights, on fast cars like M3 or Cobras, if the brakes or driver are suspect it's going to happen.
