Default Q:Cominbination of cams, cam gears and timing belt?

I tried checkn and found some old post about it but needed some on hand opinions on people who have been using it for a while. I have set of brand new jun III and they came with jun cam gears, now what i'd like to know is it a good combination to use the jun cam gears with a toda timing belt or an oem? Or would you guys suggest a different kind of cam gears to go with the jun's? I've heard how some people have had bad experiences with the timing belt being chewed or snap. Thought i'd ask those individuals who have been using jun III cams and see what they are running. TIA.

I've known people to run oem belts and aftermarket belts such as PE/Toda. As long as you take the time to inspect the belt for wear and tension accordingly, you will have no issues.

Paul, you don't drive her too hard anyway do you? hahaha. Glad you decided on the setup bro. Good luck with it! Have a good tuner take care of the tuning.

I'd go aftermarket cause its stronger but I'm sure the OEM won't hurt. Good luck P

how many miles are on your current belt? i'd swap it for something stronger such as a P.E./TODA

Im using Titan Cam gears and I just replaced my old OEM timing belt for a Toda one...

The only reason I replaced it for a Toda one is because I needed to replace my timing belt anyways and I got a great deal on the Toda one, if I hadnt gotten the deal I would have just replaced it with another OEM one

On a side note: I hope you plan to upgrade your valvetrain as well...That was more of a concern for me than the timing belt

i was under the impression that oem(new or used) doesn't go well it the jun cam gears, which is the reason why i'm askn if toda would be better.

yep, jun complete valvetrain w/ jun type2 retainers
