Soft Clutch Petal
I just got done with putting a new clutch in. But it seems to have a extramly soft petal... I searched and the only things i came up with was problems do to leaks... and i cant find a leak... when i finished putting the new clutch in Yes i did blead the system... i jsut cant figuar out what it might be. Maybe its my new pressure plate and im not use to it yet..? the only thing that makes me not think it is that is because when i let off the petal no joke like 1 inch it just about fully engages... creating it extreamly hard to not stall out of first gear.. (great for racing however
) but i drive the car about 300 miles a week and cant put up with that... Any sugguestions.. maybe i do need a new slave cylinder.. i just replaced the clutch master cylinder.. and flushed the system.. i cant think of what it could be... any ideas..? sorry for blabbing btw.. long day. haha

pretty much a stock replacement.. it is a excedy kit... grabs great and all... just harder than **** to drive because its not only soft.. but the clutch throw is short... imagine letting off the petal about 1/10th and the clutch fully engaging... and im not exaggerating. its hard to drive and not stall.. makes me look like i just learned how to drive a stick haha
haha i tore the **** out of the old clutch... got oil soaked from a output seal not properly sealing and threw oil everywhere... so it sliped like no other. i guess ill have to get use to it.. oh well.. Thanks.. ill prob bump it again later..
When I bleed my system it leaked around the threads of the bleeder. Remove that piece completely and put some sealant around it (White Lithium grease for example) and re bleed the system. Should take care of it IF that's the same problem as mine. Hope it helps.
(Mine was allowing air bubbles back into the slave during the process)

If it's just a stock replacement then it will be soft.
What would i adjust...? the bolt on the fron of the petal that looks like a stop to me? or the mater cylinder bold that conects to the petal?
Get yourself a Chilton's or something the specific info is in there.
But you adjust the master, Where the push rod meets the pedal under the dash. Its kind of a pain to get at. You can see it fine its just a stretch like all things under the dash. Remember to readjust your neutral safety switches in the end as well.
