Is it normal to have some pinging when my b16a1 is warming up

I get some small pinging happening when my b16a1 is cold and slowly goes away when it gets warm.

You're hearing piston slap, and it's fairly normal.

the piston is smaller then the cylinder bore so that when it warms up it doesn't get too big and cause damage. as it heats up (expands) it has no more room to rattle around in the cylinder and the noise goes away.
