I am 39 and i no i am old but latly its happening most every day. i was driving today and a new si with intake and exhaust keeps it in first gear takes it to
the pitiful 6800 redline and there was a car in front of him he could have hit. that i get kinda of but the other day i was at a stop light and a guy in a older civic ex auto turns the corner and then once past me he puts it in neutral and revs me and it was so high and important to him to do it that he swerved into the middle lane
and almost lost control. What am i suppose to do turn around and chase after him
to race him? what is the sense of these actions esp revving me in the opposite direction? I guess im to old i just dont get it! I know that most of them want to see if a type r is all its cracked up to be but do they think all R owners will race at the drop of a hat? i would imagine that 99% of them dont even know its a track car not a drag car. thanks for listening.

hahaha...i get that alot from ricers too. revving going opposite direction..

and ya i almost crashed manytime by ricers..going retard racing mode.

 

Yeah, I take that crap from Neons <U>all the time!</U> It gets pretty annoying. Don't think it is because your old you hate it, im 17 and it gets annoying after a while. Dont risk street racing like that in traffic, the instances that you described could have resulted pretty bad

 

I know the feeling of the Yellow R owner. I get reved at all the time. Oh well comes with the territory I guess

Happens to me all the time, you just learn to ignore them after a while

 

I hate it when people ride beside me on the highway like I'm a pace car. Some Mitsu Galant (not VR4) was pacing me the other day for 15 miles. Everytime I looked over, he had the "dRop i7 tA 3rD, y0!" look on his face. I just pointed to a gas station--"Premium $2.60"

 

PY is an ******* magnet.

Yeah, that's what you get for owning an itr, especially a py one. I own a cw one and all I get are looks except for this one time while I was at a gas station. Some guy who just finished putting gas in his car drives next to me and starts revving and asks if I wanted to race. You gotta realize I was filling up my car at the time. I shook my head and he started to rev even more and took off.

Sorry, I had a grey LS too but there is NO comparison between the two colors attention wise, negative or other.

Banana yella, I mean PY also attracts flies and bugs of all sorts bigger than Mothra.

I don't drive my ITR on the street, so I can't relate. Thankfully.

But a week or two in the Boxster, I was revved at by a 325Ci as we came off the freeway. Keep in mind that this particular offramp branches into 4 lanes and he was in the far left lane and I was in the far right lane about to make a right turn.

WTF are people thinking?

 

when i was in high school..we were comming back from lunch. at the stop light. young lady with ford car. green light she peeled out some reason..oh well we are on. ya we know the story my gsr beat the **** out it lol ..but time when i pass her car my friend told me he saw a lilttle baby was sitting on the back seat.. crazy mother * it was school zone.lol i was retard back in the day...

 

I get that all the time, but the thing about over here is over car taxes are so crazy that younger drivers have to start in 1.0liter cars, so they get 17" wheels to drain 10bhp of there stock 50bhp, then they add the biggest exhaust they can, along with as many body kit parts/bonnet vents/neons etc etc that they can afford and come up behind you on the open road, drop it into a lower gear so you can hear all those 8 valves screaming at 6000rpm through a 1" b-pipe and expect that your going to drop a few gears and race them....so so sad. I usually toddle along at what ever speed i'm doing, they'll usually get pissed after a half mile or so and go to overtake you and thats when you drop a gear or two and wait till they just a little in front of you in the outer lane and then zoom by them and leave them sitting in the outer lane like the little asswipes that they are!

 

I don't get this too much here in Las Vegas. As a matter of fact, there were only a few times this occurred, and they were Mustang guys. I have not had any instances of this at all since I had the Type R decals removed from the sides and trunk. The car is not a daily driver, and it is only driven on weekends or trackdays. Oh, and the color is CW...

at least you guys were going in somewhat the same direction.....people here rev at you going in the opposite direction.......

that gets a big WTF!

 

I rev when i see another ITR, just to see who's exhaust is louder...kinda like when two lion's roar in the sahara...i usually win, haha.
