Default countering aerodynamic lift on light cars

what kind of techniques can be used to keep the front end of a car well planted at high speeds? the car I am dealing with is under 2000lbs, has a fiberglass front end on it, radius rods, and tends to get very light on the front end above 80 mph. we do have a wheelie bar to put on later, but would like to do something to improve the aerodynamics. btw the car is a crx.
we have looked into building a front lip spoiler or even going with no front end on it to see what happens....any suggestions would be helpful...thanks

What about front end design? Check out this hood that I will be producing. I created it for this specific reason, to reduce lift at top track. Hasn't been windtunnel tested but the shape and theory will create more downforce than most 1 piece front ends. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1242606

Also having the front end as low as possible will create less drag and prevent air from wanting to "pick up" the bottom of the car.

Improper alignment can make the car feel like it is light in the front end also.

i assume that the issue is lift related since it only occurs at higher speeds. the current amount of drop on the front end right now is aroudn 4 inches, and the bottom edge of the fiberglass front end is less than 3 inches from the ground.

the alignment is not perfect right now as we are just trying to see what th car can do at the moment, and work is still in progress. we do know it is toed out slightly which i am aware will cause twicthy handling at speed.

that front end in the other thread looks very nice. the one we have has been modded with a piece of thinner sheet metal to lower to front edge to be around the same height off the ground already though.

the area around the gas tank and spare tire well has been removed completely though, and with the that areas under the car missing i feel like the basica shape is similar to an airplane wing with a thicker leading edge, thin trailing edge and the bottom of the trailign edge angling up.

if it would help to post pics let me know. thanks for rthe replies so far.

If i were you, get the proper alignment, my car was doing the same thing at high speed before I got the alignment done. Now, it goes in the 1/4 like a straight bullet.

well we will do that next, though the feel of it is not like a bad alignment maybe its just lack of experience on our parts.
thanks

to all that repsonded this is not an alignment issue. it is as i said a lift issue. the problem ONLY occurs with the use of limiting straps. without them there is slightly lighter steering but nothing where its hard to control the vehicle. so if anyone has suggestions on what to do, let me know.

we are looking at a plywood chin spoiler nad possible a full sheet emtal pan under the car and engine bay to smooth things out....

you probably have the straps set uneven. If one side lifts more than the other then it would cause that...

I will check into the amount of travel that each side is allowed right now. I have hardly driven the car, I just get to deal with the problem as they are reported to me. I appreciate the pointer on checking the heights.
and they are actually not straps, but threaded rods.....it doesnt so much pull as just get very light and twitchy.
