Driving a 96 Accord with the stock f22. Just noticed yesterday a noise that sounds like air leaking from a balloon or something coming from under the hood. its somewhat loud enough that i can hear it with my windows rolled down. It only does this when the engine is turned on. I opened the hood and the sound seems to be coming from coming from somewhere under the intake manifold on the opposite side of the throttle body but i cant pinpoint it exactly. Thought it might be a vaccum line or something but i cant see anything wrong, just the sound. Car doesnt run bad at all and hasnt gotten worse since i first heard this. It does seem to be getting progressively louder though i think. Hopefully its not my head gasket or something really crucial. Anyone have any ideas on this one?

 

Best bet is to just pull the intake mani and check. Could be any number of things

 

chk vaccum hoses, also chk the air mixture on throttle body screw make sure it has not backed out

 

chk pcv valve as well
