Ok so I recently changed my 93 b16a2 manifold to a 99 integra type r and my car is idleling from 800-2100. I cleaned the old gasket completely out of the head, and installed a new profab gasket. I also changed to an 0bd2 IACV, all the bolts are tight, so I have no vacuum leaks, can the problem be coming from a sensor. I know the 0bd2 throttle bodies have the sensor mounted on the top of the throttle body, but being that I still have a obd1 throttle body Im using a small vacuum hose to a sensor. Now the car didnt have this problem till I installed the itr manifold, do I need an obd2 throttle body now? the car is not throwing any codes, and I have no air on the system, what can it be?
you might have a sensor plugged in wrong, some of those plugs look the same, like the IAC sensor and the MAP sensor I think look the same, just try changing your connections.

Ok Im gonna try that today, now will a 68mm thottle body be overkill for a stock motor?

68mm would be a little much cause you dont have cams and bigger injectors to use the air that you would be bringing in, if you want a bigger TB try http://www.maxbore.com

Ok I went outside for lunch to check to see if I mismatched the plugs, and they seem to be in the correct place. the wires are plugs are too short for me to have switched them...anymore suggestions??
did you reset your ecu when you installed the manifold? if so then its gotta be like a vaccum leak or your IAC has got to be plugged in wrong. those are the only things that I know of that would cause this problem, if anybody else can chime it that would be great.
Also did you try searching for problems like yours? People always post about problems they come accross.

Its sounds like a vacuum leak........Even though you said it isnt, I would double check. Buy some carb cleaner and start spraying it around the gasket area. If the idle all of sudden drops down to normal, then thats where the leak is coming from.

Ecu has been reset couple of times, at first I thought it was the IACV, but then I got a new one, so that didnt fix it. When I when to check the plugs I shaked the wiring harness, and the idle got smooth for couple of seconds. Im thinking I might have some bad wiring somewhere. Ill check into that next...thanks for your time.

try grounding your intake manifold to your chasis. If you look on the right side of the manifold by the runners I believe there is a spot where you can thread a 10mm bolt into it, just make like a 4 gauge ground wire that goes from there to the chasis like the shock tower area. Any check engine lights?

could be the IAC is bad
let the car idle and unplug it while running if it changes idle it is working if it doesnt it is not
or kind of sounds like you got a vacuum leak soem wheres
turn on the car and spray carb cleaner all over until idle fluctuates and it will show you where the leak is
