OK, i am an engineer at drexel university, and i have been following this board for a few months now, and i congradulate you all on your rides, and knowhow. Here is my question, our team is designing a front mount windsheild defroster, similar to the back one, are there any government regulations on visibility, obstruction or anything similar to that on how it might affect the design of this project? let me know in the post i truly apprecaite it, ill post pics of my ride later, peace...

 

I think i can be done without being obtrusive. the technology to do this should be available. my daily driver is a 86 benz and the rear defroster on that car is simply amazing for that time period. the lines are very very small and are hardly noticable.

 

Just make sure it works faster than the rear one. U can't have anything obstructing your view. Make ithe defroster clear strips or maybe like a clear tint that would cover entire glass so its not seen. I woulda kept that on hush if I were you, but to each is own. For my info cut me in on the millions.

 

well not just any one can go ahead and do this, dont rear defrosters work well? What i need to know from your guys expertise is what the laws are on front vision obstructions. any laws would be appreciated thanx

 

o and also, about keeping this hush hush, our team would get the patent more so than anyone i tell about the idea because we have dated designs, worksheets and prototypes, already made, in the court of law we would win, get the patent, and all the money, no questions asked.... but nice try those who want to cash in on this idea

 

In Fla you cant have a tint strip lower than like 3 inches i think. If u wanna know the laws call a tinit shop, they'd have to know that stuff. Thats your best bet. Cut me in on the millions for my info. Whats a million dollars anyway. Bill Gates wipes his *** with that.
