Are amber turn signal bulbs (1157) required for my teg with clear corners?

Are amber turn signal bulbs (1157) required for my teg with clear corners?
So do I need the amber 1157 bulbs, or will I purple/hyper be visible enough when my turn signal's on??? I guess I want to get hyper 168 to go with the clears, and I'm afraid the amber 1157's will kill the look. Unless they're not emitting any light when the turn signal's off, in which case that wouldn't be a huge deal, but I ain't sure. Does anyone have experience with this? Where's the best place to get lights from?

I'm not sure what the law is where you live but in most places the blinker bulb must be amber in color. The lens can be any color but the bulb must me amber!

Has anyone painted their "hyperwhite" turnsignal bulbs yellow to get the "hyper yellow" look (similar to the Lexus GS300/400)? How does it look?
