can carbon fiber be repaired?
my buddy is thinking of buying an oem style carbon fiber hood but it has a rock chip in it, just wondering if it can be repaired. here's a shot of the damage.

any thoughts?

Yeah stay away from it. Too much hassle to even think about trying to find someone who could repair it... and how much he'd charge. Better off getting it off ebay if you need a bargain.
EDIT: I like in the picture you can see the photographers mouth hanging open like Bubba in Forrest Gump. To the right next to the headlight.

yes it can be fixed but it would have to be painted and then you wouldn't have a carbon fiber hood any more, at least not by sight. A buddy of mine cracked his right down the middle(left to right), i'm not sure how, but he got it fixed and it was painted to match his car since it could not be salvaged as carbon fiber, it seems like to much of a hassle imo.
