ok im wiring a field vafc into my 98 gsr. i wired it accoring to the diagrams that i found...( i had to look at a bunch of them to figure out the right wires ) and the controller is not getting power. i hooked the wire up for the VTM ( which i dont know what its for) and taped off the other wire like the diagram says. i got a check engine light but no power on the controller. after hooking the VTM wire back i started the car again, still no power but no check engine light this time. i hooked the ground wire up to the chassis behind the ecu and i got the paint off the ensure a good ground. Does the ground need to hook to the ground on the ecu or should the ground to the chassis be okay?? im not getting power...

bump... okay i think i do have all the wiring correct... exept i dont know what the vtm line is for... can anyone tell me? and does the ground wire need to be grounded to the ecu or can i just ground it to the chassis?

yeah turns out the sfc is fried.. i bought it off ebay for 120 bucks.. i got ripped... if anyone needs the harness let me know
