Type S Pistonfor AAAA block
If I have the AAAA block...even with a hone, the Std. A size should be fine right? Not sure how deep a hone is, but I know it is needed for thr type S pistons so the rings can sit well.....B is smaller, then A, then OS...anyone??
Honing the block is what you need to do, i wouldn't bore it out to OS unless you have cylinder wall damage. Just hone it have throw the Type-S pistons in, thats what i did. Oh and the A type pistons are .010 mm bigger than B type pistons.
So if I have the AAAA block, that means that the block is as small as it can get? Which means I would be better getting the B size pistons instead of the OS ones....right A (smallest standard), B(larger standard) and OS...
no....B is the smallest, A is the biggest standard size...and OS is the oversize.
i have a AAAA block as well. I honed it for my std A type-S pistons.
minimal oil loss when i vtec all the time. my block had 40,000 miles when i honed it.
