hi thinking about buyin a 2000 si
im looking into possibly buying a 2000 si. r there any problems or lil defects that i should keep an eye out also any good security ideas also to keep the car from goin bye bye. i appreciate any help

In general it is a bad idea to buy a first production year car, they have the most problems of all the production years. Also, if you can get one that was made in the last 2 years honda fixed an engine problem and now it to produces better horsepower.

im pretty sure 2000 was the last year of that body style of civics so i dnt see how that would b a first year. i dnt plan on gettin one in the eletric blue thats totally askin for it, im lookin at a black one i might even get it painted some other color if i feel inclined.

wtf are you talking about. I don't see any 99 si owners having anymore problems that the 00 owners do. And good luck finding a 99-00 Si that was made in 04-05

Look cuz there are no problems with these the only recall or service bulletin on these, is an ignition switch recall. Trust me I own a '00 Si, and I'm a honda tech(only metioned to make my point about the knowledge of recall). If there was any big problems with these vehicles I would post it. Buy that bitch, and have fun and good luck.

bah, you are off base when it comes to hondas... my 99 si (which was bought new by me) has almost 150k and still runs perfect. i have had zero problems with the car in the last 6 years.
