ls/vtec cams
just got a b18a bottom end and im thinking of building a frank. however, i heard the valve to piston clearance is small enough that anything more than a mild cam is going to cause contact between the piston and valve. anyone know the largest cam that can be run with the b16a head/ b18a bottom end setup?
Stock gsr cams are the largest i would go, Spend the extra money and get a set of p30, or p73-j00 pistons= higher compression and wider selection of cams that will make excellent power.
higher compression would mean they are dome top which would mean less piston to valve clearance wouldnt it?
which head gasket should be used? just a stock b18a? whats the thinnest i could use with gsr cams and not have contact between the pistons and valves?

Sorry for the old thread bump, but this thread is the only thing that came up on my search..
my question: Can i keep my Civic TypeR cams when i do an LS/Vtec swap??
I still have my old cams (stock SiRII)

The B20 pistons don't have valve reliefs like other OEM pistons. A high dome is fine, as long as the valve reliefs are there.
