Default Thinking about selling the R

Im thinking about selling my ITR, I just got another POS exhaust ticket last night, which is bs. I was going with the flow of traffic (not speeding) you couldnt even hear my exhaust, its just the comptech which has a big tip but my canister is painted flat black. So he said i had a fart cannon which is bs. To most ppl exhaust ticket is just a bs ticket and you go pay for it and thats it. Well not for me since i have wonderful Progressive insurance, my rates increase per ticket since i have a ITR. This is my 3rd exhaust ticket (1st with the comptech) and progessive charged me 2pts for each of my prior exhaust tickets. I just renewed the policy with them, but im afraid they might get a hold of this ticket and it will go back up, and i dont feel like paying a $6000 premium on an integra

so with all that said. Im just trying to get a feel for what price i should start selling at. Im not totally positive yet that im gonna sell it. I like the car a lot, out of all the cars/honda's ive owned (from boosted to built N/A's) this has been my favorite..sigh

yikes...all i've heard are horror stories about the VA police and exhaust tickets. youd think they would spend their time doing something USEFUL like cracking down on CAR THEFT instead of giving out BS tickets.

nice looking R. good luck with the sale

ahh very true...although its surprising that they dont catch more thieves in the process of giving exhaust tickets.

VA does BS a lot...

I've heard of people going in and saying "sir, my exhaust is a replacement specifically made to fit this model car..." and it's worked.

it's a hassle though...I'd say get rid of the R and take away the stress of having to deal with the crap...

Dont sell your car cause of an exhaust ticket. Just put the factory exhaust on it so they dont mess with you. Your R is SICK. Youll never get another one like it.

did you do the JDM conversion because you liked the way it looked, or because the car was involved in an accident?

has the car ever been in an accident?

get another insurance company. rates going up for a non-moving violation is BS.

Instead of selling the R, why dont you just sell the EXHUAST? The EXHUAST is whats causing you problems, not the vehicle.

or you can stop being lazy and research the best insurance. Rates dont go up for non moving violations, look elsewhere, and swap the exhaust off. I got sick of all the nonsense down here and sold my JUN head and my exhuast. car is bone stock now.

I know how you feel, I got a BS exhaust ticket a few months back. Pulled over on the interstate while I wasn't speeding, kinda makes you feel like WTF you get pulled over and your not ever doing anything. Guess cops can be haters too

Don't sell the car, get a new ins. company or at least make sure your ins. will go up over a non-moving violation (that's crazy BTW). If you do sell I'd start the asking at $19k I think

did you not read my post, progressive raise your rates for non moving violations now..its hard enough to find someone to insure me, its hard to find someone to insure an R for not an outrageous price..i have a reckless also which pays a toll on my insurance..so yeah..if you can help me fine..oh yeah i work for an insurance company to..so i kinda know the drills
