Default cars not starting in hot/warm weather??? help please

Its been doing this since i bought the car last year in early april. Ever once in a while when i go to start it.. it only cranks, but doesnt fire. It only does this in hot or warm weather tho. Durring the winter its fine. Last summer it did this but when it did, all id have to do is wait like 2 or 3 minutes and then try again and itd fire right up. So i decided to not do anything about it. Just yesterday it did it again only this time it didnt start at all. I ended up stranded at school and went for a 90 minute walk home. Later that night when the weather cooled down i went back to the car and it fired right up and ran like a champ.. Any suggestions on what it could be??

I worked at a Honda dealer at the time so I think I paid $35 for it and it was an easy fix. They retail for around $60 I think. I would also check you make sure you are getting spark first when the car doesnt start. If you have no spark it could be distributor related (coil, ignitor). What year adn model is your car.

most likely its the main relay. its about $50 for a new one and it will take a tech about 15-30 minutes to put in. You could do it yourself most likely though. Its a gray box mounted under the dash on the drivers side.
