Type R Opportunity
Hey, I think I found a Type R for me Finally, just seeing if it sounds like a good deal. 2001 Type R with 27,000 miles, one owner all maintance and oil changes done at Acura in Las Vegas including the 30,000 check. Car is in Immaculate condition. Acura is pretty firm on the 21,900 asking price though. I have my 01' LS to trade in on it and they guestimated 8,000 on a trade since they hadnt seen the car yet.
So should I just pony up and get it for what they are askin or wait it out a little longer? I am currently 23 years old and a flight instructor, but will be moving in a couple of months and changing jobs so not sure on the financial status for about a month this summer. I could make it but it would be tight. Go for it or let this beauty go?

The price is better than what most dealerships I've seen usually charge, but is still rather high. If the car is absolutely 100% mint condition and all factory original, then I'd say it's worth it, otherwise, you'd probably be better off looking for something elsewhere.
the car was a weekend driver for a lady about 45 years old, she traded it in for a TL last week. I figured I would either try to get it down to 20 or make them give me 10K for my car, as I know they will just repawn it off for close to 13-14K. Since they took 19K on the trade in on the ITR, I figure thats more than enough profit for them to manage. They are also offering the remainder of the 7yr 100K warrenty
It seems like every dealer that I've been to when I was looking for ITR's said the previous owner was always a middle aged lady that daily drove it from home to work
Make sure thats the truth because thats pretty much what every dealer says about these kinds of cars.

Honestly, if I were you, I'd stick with the LS.
From your avatar it seems like you're already having fun autocrossing it, and it seems like it's in good condition.
An ITR is a great car, but it's not something on which I'd be willing to take a financial risk.
BTW, got a larger pic of your current Integra? It looks almost like an ITR already.

Real clean... I would try private party though. get more for your LS, and a better deal on the R. I got my 00 with 50K and one owner w/ every peice of paper since 5k on it for $18k. So i think thats a good price.

Both the LS and Type-R look so good and clean! It's a hard decision, but I would say try to work down the price of the Type-R. If they won't budge on the Type-R, then don't bother with it. Nonetheless, the Type-R is definitely something that shouldn't be overlooked....

I'd say if you can get them to throw in some kind of extended factory warranty, go for it.

they no what they have and your worry should be if that car is still there when u go this weekend. I got my R at that dealership used and they wont budge on that price u can try and i hope u get it for less but dont count on it. i will be surprised if it lasts the weekend.
