Default K24A4 head swap

Has anyone successfully put a K20A2 head on a K24A4 block? I've heard from several people now that the pistons hit the valves, despite what SCC magazine and other sources say.

Archidictus is in the process of tearing everything back apart now after figuring out the problem. Has anyone else run into this? Could it be that the K24 pistons are larger diameter than the K20's?

I've only found one piston manufacturer so far that's addressing the issue, but I've never heard of the company before..

$479 a set with rings

I have first hand testimony from Nikos and Brian G at HASport that this is a bad idea. I'm tearing her down now and figuring out wtf I'm going to do with the wrong K24 and a K20A2 head and ECU.

Sigh.

i would change the pistons, and just build the block and put the head on it...

Sounds like a good plan, we'll have to see how Archi makes out.

right now I have a k24a4 with a k20a2 head on the motor. I clayed the motor and and then I scaled it, the motor had a little more then .040 ptv clearance.
