can i make 300+whp with a jrsc and nitrous?
yes i did a search.
the bottom end will be built to handle the 300 hp i plan on making.
the head will be a ported cammed (was going with a turbo cam) z6 head.
just poking around and checking all avenues. had my heart set on turbo, BUT jrsc may be cheaper for now. i see jrscs for 1000-1400 and a buddy owes me some cash so i can just grab his NX wet kit off of him in exchange.
just wondering if i could hit the 300 hp mark with the jrsc and nitrous.
and if i was feeling stupid i can always add a turbo later, LOL
but yeah is it possible to hit 300 on a d16 mini me?
thanks

It's possible if your willing to inject a huge amount of nitrous, but usually not economical nor reliable.
Here is the link to the only person whom I can think of who came close to your goal on a single-cam:
Mustang dyno...

I'd save for the turbo and built engine, if I were you.

the bottom end will be built regardless of turbo or blower.
the nitrous kit is off a f body so i got all the big jets
is a 100 shot too much? 150 maybe
ive always wanted a turbo but for some reason the jrsc is drawing to me, maybe it will pass...

The cost of a used JRSC + nitrous is about equal to a good turbo setup...
My setup (ebay special):
SC50 ($600)
Drag mani ($200)
Spearco ($240)
Tial BOV ($180)
Tial WG ($150)
Piping/DP/Fittings ($350)
That's about $1700 for 450whp...
**EDIT**
Oh yeah, and you can't use a turbo cam in a JRSC setup.

yes it's possible,
endyn has a 400+ whp sohc nonvtec, no nitrous
so the usual dude should be able to hit 300 I'd assume..
aint gonna be easy though,
be ready to mod the **** out of your blower,
you'd probably need a fabricated S tube and IM
run a medium level of compression(like maybe 10:1 or so)
forged internals
lots of head/portwork
and lots and lots of tuning.
i'm a dseries fo life sorta guy..
but this would be alot easier to start off with a bseries engine,

No they don't.
All they have is a penchant for lying. Endyn can go to hell and take their worthless "mod" with them.

hmm if i have to start modding the blower then it may not be so cheap afetr all, or is the modding just porting??
the bottom end will be built, the compression prolly low around 9:1
heads im leaning towards dh racing for porting, maily beacuse there the only ones i know of that port for a reasonable price.
and i dont want to swap out to a bseries. atleast not yet.
maybe the turbo will be the better route, but im just looking at the avenues.

Just so you know, I am also JRciv on hostboard and JRciv here on H-T. In other words, I'm the guy who lost all faith in the jackson racing product and design
We've all seen the article. Who has seen the carbon fiber blades? Who has seen the thing actually on a dyno? Everyone can believe what they want. But Larry is a salesman - of course he is going to hype up his work. And that's exactly what it is - hype - always the same stories floating around the forums. In case you weren't aware, Larry is a member on H-T and hostboard and likes to occasionally spew crap to get us excited about his sham of a company.

The "modding" is basically three things.
1. Porting, to get rid of all that casting crap you can see in the s-pipe and manifold.
2. Grinding down the silencing ridge inside the casing - promotes better airflow but getting rid of this silencer makes the blower louder (a pro or a con, depending on preference).
3. Adding metal where needed to smooth turbulence - metal is actually welded in then ground down to create the desired specs - Endyn does this which is probably why the price is so high. I don't think it really does anything.
In the end, none of this results in more airflow. All it does is reduce air temp so you can advance your timing and gain some power. Or you could just use higher octane gas and achieve the same effect

You may want to talk to the guy at LHT Performance (www.lhtperformance.net). He's had some success using a wet shot pre-TB, so it goes through the blower and cools it down. I think he was getting 50WHP out of a 30-shot.

i got almost 30 whp out of around a 15 shot. i was using a wet shot just like lht (got the kit from him) but with hondata went with a dry shot.

Nice dyno chart, I love that torque.

How does $975 sound?
How does $975 sound?
With the money I spent on my SC setup, i could of had a low 12sec turbo car.
But the chargers are bad ***.So sleeper maybe ill post a pic of my whip.No intercooler and ****, its pretty cool.
