Default Any experience with MODACAR?

modacar.com has a package deal for 15 x 6.5 Rota slips that come with falken RT-615's. just need some track wheels with occasional daily driving (no long distances or anything) but the total comes out to $999 shipped. Just looking for opinions if anybody ordered from this website, and what kind of service they received. Thanks. Here is a link to the wheels (towards the bottom of the page is the deal).

I use to go through modacar often, and I found that their service varied. Sometimes my order would be processed and shipped promptly, and at other times they were kinda slow (all my orders were in-stock items). I think the reason may be that some items they personally have in stock, and other items they may use a dropshipper that has the part in stock. Just a guess though.

Just to avoid any frustration, I personally try to stay away from modacar if I can find the item I want cheaper.

I live close to where their at. IMO the experiences that I've had with them are all negative. They act real rude and never have stuff in stock. Their prices are a little expensive too.

i wouldn't do business with them again, the items i ordered were missing parts and i had to go through a wild goose chase to get the right ones. also, the people that work there seem very rude.

I did some research on modacar not too long ago and everything I read was something negative about them. I'll never order from them unless it's under $10.

Go here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=697937

I'm almost positive they can beat that price, and they also have nothing but good service. And they're a site sponsor

i emailed modacar last week to see if they could match the prices from this thread and they couldnt even come close, i asked if they'd try and come close to the price and they said no...the only reason id buy from them if they'd match is because i could pick up the rims in person

I work fairly close by. If you want to feel invisible, just drop by their showroom. I figured they didn't want my business. Good thing is there are plenty of other places that treats their customers, well, like customers. Is that too much to ask?

It depends on what you buy. I used to work for one of the larger parts distributors (pro motion), and we used to ship out some parts for them. Whenever orders were placed (modacar or not), they would ALWAYS be shipped out the same day.

So i'm guessing that you guys that have had good service probably received your packages straight from the distributor.

But, to tell you the truth, I don't know how much of modacar's stuff we were responsible for. I don't remember sending out that many at all, which is kinda odd.

--oh, forgot to mention, the distributor doesn't stock those wheels, so you'll probably end up dealing with the crappier service of the REAL modacar.
