Default Honda shaking horribly

Hello Honda lovers
I have a slight problem. My car is starting to shake very rapidly when i accelarate, the faster i go, the worse it gets. It does not shake when I turn or let off the gas. people say it could be my rack and pinion, cv joints or my halfshafts/axles. I have a '94 honda civic ex with a b16a. If it is indeed my axles, what are the best axles that would fit my setup? A couple people told me to go for integra axles. Well whatever i need, i am planning to go to a junk yard for my parts. any advice? would i have to hybrid axles??? Any opinions are welcome

Yeah ok. But can I use OEM(94ex) axles with the b16?

Stay away from the junk yard my friend. I don't think it's a great idea to get axles which I think is your issue. You could go and take a look in the engine bay, should be some dark gray grease sprays on your firewall and around the axels area. Listen check the boot around the axles for damage.

I had the same problem and it was my wheels causing the shaking.

also check your motor mounts...weak or bad motor mounts would cause it to shake.

Check into your upper and lower ball joints too...you could check the uppers by grabbing the tire towards the top of the fender while pushing it and pulling it towards you. There shouldn't be any play with the upper ball joints at all...

Lowers you'll have to raise the car and use a prybar underneath the lower control arm.

Axles usually wouldn't cause a car to shake violently unless they're really messed up...

On faster acceleration is it getting worse? When was the last time you had your wheels balanced?

I checked the axel boots and they seem to be fine. I took it to goodyear...shaking horribly. Then when i left it was driving perfectly...could the axle be popping in and out??? what would cause this problem to go away, come back, and go away again???

Well. I had this problem. I replaced the ball-joint, which it was bad.

After I replaced the ball-joint. It still did it. So, I checked my axles, although I didn't think it would be those, brand new Driveshaft shop stage 1s. Well, it turns out. It was my half-shaft. It was lose, I just tightned it up.

Also, check your motor mounts. Mine was broken, also.

*NOTE* Mine was shaking badly under acceleration, too.

my ek does that too. i think its the tires cause when i do a big *** burn out, theres no smoke(bald tires) and it shakes a lot from 4000 to 7000 rpm. just get some new tires, it worked for me
