Well im having trouble with my tail lights, everything seems to be working besides my back up lights.. when i bought the hatch it had ricey apc crap lights on them so i swapped the oem ones back on and the guy said i needed to buy new bulbs.. so i did and nothing happened. Turn signals brakes and lights work but reverse dont.. can someone help me out?

 

Could it be a fuse?

 

you could start by checking the fuses, also check the connections, make sure none of the wires are loose or anything

I checked the fuses the fuse for the reverse lights dont click into the socket, it's easily put in and removed.. i changed the fuses/bulbs and the lights still do not work

 

Im assuming that you have a 5 spd tranny.....theres a sensor on your tranny that is for your reverse lights...check that out....I bet its your problem.

 

i've got this exact problem on my 95 civic /w gsr motor.. after we put in my short shifter the reverse lights don't work.. doesn't make any sense any ideas??

yes, i have a 5 speed but before i bought the car the guy had apc crappy lights on it and i installed the OEM ones back and thats when they reverse lights started to not work, the guy said something about i need to replaced the bulbs and i did.. i'll check out the sensor.

 

If you didn't trash the apc lights see if they work now, maybe it's a problem with the oem lights.

 

depending on the state..here in VA if u cut the "plug" off for reverse lights u dont need them for inspection

 

in fl we dont even have inspection.. its just i'd rather have the backup lights work then not work..

I never knew that.. i got inspection this month.. i have no clue how to fix this problem.. what plug?? the ones to the backup lights? where the bulbs plug in..
