Default CTR vs ITR Pistons

What are the differences and what would be a better choice? Why?

ctr has more compression than itr. the ctr will put a gsr to about 12:1 where as a itr will put it to about 10:6 and the jdm itr pistons will put u to 11:1

which one would be a better choice? well it depends on what ur going to do with ur car..

Run the JDM itrs or JDM p30s
CTRS will work fine, but such a high c/r without proper tuning can cause some detonation issues.

I would agree with 99whitejizzer,the question is on what you have planned for your motor. If you plan to go N/A then its a toss up between the two. Also if you decide to run the CTR's,have your motor tuned.Just like mtber said you don't want any detonation issues.Just do more searching and ask more questions if you can't find what you're looking for, also its going to come down to personal preference.Thats my $0.02 for the day lol.

I am just looking to change out the stock LS pistons. I know the LS pistons wont let me rev past 7K. I have a LS VTEC set up. B16 head with B18B block. What about for speed?

Either pistons will work but its just going to come down to preferance on which pistons you want to use.

Would the CTR's give me better compression numbers?

Don't put anything in your motor until you know what each part of the motor does.

How high you can rev is not determined by your pistons. It's a combination of crank dynamics and valvetrain.

And rod/bolt strength.

There was a magazine article on this, and I believe what failed was the bolts. They recommended ARP bolts.

Don't take my word for it though, just trying to point you in the right direction. I believe it was Honda Tuning.

For what it's worth, when I do my build..... someday..... I'm going to use aftermarket rods, probably Carrillo.
