For the record, the DOHC F22B from Japan sucks.
For those who say its "the same thing as the H23A1," it's not. It may act about the same, but it really feels like the difference between a B18 and a B16, only not quite as noticable.

The missing torque may not show up in daily driving, but when running against someone, it just didn't have that "umph" quite like it used to.
I'm thinking that because of it's lower CR it might be a better FI motor though. I guess we'll find out. So, who has a turbo kit laying around that'll fit this thing?

hummmz does this motor (JDM F22b) Dual Cam Non-Vtec look familiar, gosh that turbo looks quite familar, and ummm, that thing has beaten me pretty bad booting 10 psi.
So know before you say anything about this motor, this motor has alot of potential. This motor has beaten me badly on the freeway. On the inside streets, it can hang pretty well. BTW, I drive a 94 accord coupe, 5 speed h22a motor with i/h/e and ignition. This is my motor has been tested on and tuned on three cars so far, and all have been pretty decent for a street setup. My car goes in next week hopefully...

Great... but stock internalled, and N/A, it won't touch an H23A.

14g, not b, I think. And the small Mitsu turbo's are ghey. 16g+ are the only decent ones. I've contemplated a 20g several times for the Quest. But Id rather run a T4 on a custom manifold.

You peeps need to calm down just a tad there... This thread has nothing to do with my motor. The only reason why the pictures are even posted was becuz someone was flaming the motor for its inability to perform to its respective counterpart the almighty h23. The motor has the exact same characteristics as the h23, but with its extra .1 liter displacement.

Now, re-read what I posted. Stock for stock, they F22B sucks vs the H23A1. The H23A sucks vs the H22A. The H22A sucks vs a stroked 383...

As for the setup, I'm mystified. I can honestly say I never thought I'd see the day when turbo DSM parts fit better than Honda parts.

Did the pistons fit the factory bore diameter? Are they compartible with the cylinder walls? What was done to the eclipes manifold to fit the F22b engine? What fuel/ignition setup did your friend use?
