Default JDM ITR Conversion Question

I searched... Im converting my usdm R to a jdm R front, i was wondering if any of you guys had some close up pics of your rad. support. im deciding weather to just cut the whole thing off or just to change the top part, im also planning on using the usdm bumper support.

im open to any suggestions. i have seen the write ups but no pics of the completed rad support, or close up pics should i say.

Thanks again guys..

Do the top part swap, much easier.

dont have close up pics of mine, but i suggest to do the whole thing, its only good to do the top part if you have only half of the rad support. But if you have the whole thing might as well do the whole thing. It's not really that much time consuming, but easier.

i'd suggest the complete opposite...dont bother with a hack job...drill the rad support out and weld in the new support.

I did just the top support along with the T section. It was easy to do.

you can bolt it instead of spot welding, and then you can go back if you want.

I have a full CD with pics from begining to end of my conversion. I'll get it and find a pic for you tomorrow. I have pics of it on there before we moved on. No close ups though, Fransisco's welds are too pretty for human eyes

I used the " T" bar that I purchased from Passwordjdm. It cost me like $199 plus shipping. The whole support may cost you $300+ new. One thing I didn't like about the T support is that my headlights aren't hold tight. Due to the T bar, you end up missing two brackets that holds the JDM headlights bolts. Without that bolt, you get that shaking headlight when you hit a bump. Another Thing I didn't like about it was that I have a gap between my grill and hood. Which is kinda a eye sore. But that might just be the fact that the welder didn't weld it correctly. Its kinda like you get what you paid for. I got mines welder for $250. Its like a drill and weld type of work. I personally think that if I could do it again, I'll go with a whole new support. On the USDM support, I think you might have to trim you bumper a little. I don't feel safe at all with the JDM bumper support, but oh well, Not planning to rear end anyone anytime soon. Good Luck

I did the t bar myself and I don't have a problem with any gaps or shaking headlights. i did the t bar because you still keep the welds of the stock on the lower half. No problems at all. But i guess to each his own. All I know is that you can just get the t bar new from any aftemarket body parts store and I've seen it done many times with no problem so you would have to make that call.
