Default Another wheel painting thread.....

After searching, i was wondering how you guys get the lip on the HX wheels to be polished. Wat did you guys use???....Thanks

aircraft paint stripper, then wetsand with 300 grit and gradually move up to 1500 then buffing with emery, tripoli, white, rouge. then mothers alum. chrome polish.

yeah but can be quicker and easier if you have experience with orbital sanders...which i dont think he does...i may be wrong...but orbitals aren't as forgiving as hand sanding. Then buffing will be with a machine or tool...but you do get what you put in. If you halfass the polishing, you'll get a dull shine vs a lot of time sanding and buffing will get you a bling *** rim.
