I went back to stop suspension and now my car looks jacked up...
Previous setup
- Stock struts
- Ground Controls
- Progress Camber kit
New setup
- Stop 98 Civic Struts
- Stock Springs
- No Camber kit
It looks higher then stock. Any ideas as to why? Does it take a while to settle? (Note: the struts where sitting in a guys basement for 6 years and the springs where sitting there since 2000)
If not how can I bring it down a little bit?

I never heard of Stop but ill tell you this, the strut has nothing to do with the height. Put your Ground Control on the struts and the car will be lowered back to where it was before (unless if you changed your settings) but its because of stock springs it should be stock height.
It'll take time for it to settle. Assuming all the springs and such were for your car, and not another application.
Nope, using my stock springs and 98 Civic Struts
How long does it take? my car has been stock for about a week. but the springs where sitting in my basement uncompressed for like 4 years

when i went back to stock i knew i was gonna sit higher, but the handling was horrible, the car bounces like crazy when i go over any kind of bump
So Basically the springs just have to settle, I see. I was scared the 98 struts was why. So the struts have nothing to do with ride height? Only the springs right?

basically, which is why when you buy springs they say "2" lowering springs" bla bla bla... but they should settle some, but its probably not going to sit as low as what you had before

It will settle down, but it'll take time. Once you've lowered a car and raised it back up, it'll always seem "high".

yeah, but in your last post it was like you were saying you didn't know if the struts held the car up, but the springs determine ride height, so i tried to make it more clear for you by saying that basically the springs determine ride height
your probably just not used to seeing your car sit the way it is now, do you have anybody in the area with stock springs, check it out against yours

Is it possible it was installed wrong? Like the front springs where put on the back? Or arent they the same size?
Well they have different spring rates. If you install the rear in the front, the front will be lower than stock and the rear will be jacked up. Maybe it's your car getting back at you for trying to get it to offroad? Just a thought...
i'm pretty sure the back springs are wider at the base, so if you didn't see anything wrong with the spring on the strut then i'd say your fine...
your car might need to settle, that and combined with you not seeing your car how it usually is might be the reason, i don't think you really have anything to worry about unless your like 5 inchs above stock, then maybe i'd start to wonder, btw any pictures?

The back has settled, but the front is still higher then the back, The rear has a little bit of negative camber while the front has a little bit positive, I hope the front settles some more.
So the front springs are the same as the back?? Like could it be possible that the fronts where put on the back by accident? I'm just trying to determine if its possible to have installed them wrong?
