ON a gsr...NO. IM placement is higher up with the skunk2. you could get an sri for a type r or the ls/gs/rs.

If you were to install it correctly, it will not hit your hood. The correct install would be to have it completely flat on top (intake turns closer to front of car). Hope this helps.

P.S.- With intakes, you pay for what you get. I recommend the AEM short ram if you don't want/need the CAI.

The AEM uses the same exact bends as the ebay intakes the ebay peices just don't use a K&N filter. Get the ebay and then buy a K&N cone filer and you have an AEM intake with out the sticker and only have about $70 tied up in it. I would say that the intake may work but you may need to modify the pipe.

i searched for sri on a type r, and it only comes up either vtec or non-vtec short ram. Should I buy the non-vtec sri?

i dont think it should matter.. your just looking for one with the correct bends on the piping. vtec or non-vtec... it shouldnt matter. just as long its made for a ls/gs/rs/or typr-r u should be fine.
