Default Aux port adapter for stock radio

I just want to make sure that this is the right aux adapter for the ITR radio.
http://www.discountcarstereo.c...D=340

Crutchfield carries it too, so I called, and they said it wouldnt work, but that the $120 version would work.

I emailed discount car stereo and they said it would work.

Anyone know for sure?

.

edit: Bought it, installed it, works awesome.

Here is the one I am using.... works nice

http://www.autotoys.com/x/cata....html

Also, this site says 98-01's use the 14-pin square plug.....

http://www.autotoys.com/x/cata....html

But the one you have posted says 92-98's use the 8-pin round plug.

FWIW, my 00 Civic uses the 14-pin, as well as my 01 S2k...

Hope this helps.....

I use a PIE but not sure if its exactly the same as your picture. It works great. I use for XM radio. I've had it for 2 years and no complaints. Go here and check out the vehicle compatibility list. Price is only $70

This adapter plugs into the optional cd-changer socket. I don't think stock ITR cd players have this, do they?

I think it does. Just not sure if its a round or square socket.

Can anyone confirm the aux on the back of the 01 radio? I bought a tape unit from a 97 CL to piggyback off the stock 01 radio, the tape unit has the 8pin round plug. Id love to know for sure if it will work or not before I tear into the dash...

Just an update. I installed this on my 2000 deck, and its IMO the best way to hook up an IPod. Good sound, cheap, and pretty easy to install.

Sorry for the n00b question in terms of car audio, not my forte.

How would one select the auxilery input on the OEM CD deck? I don't see any buttons anywhere that would allow you to select one.

Yup, it alternates between CD and whatever you have connected to the aux.

Thanks for the follow up - did you have to use a line level amplifier for the IPod to boost the signal?...
