Default Vtec not working

I got my head rebuilt a few weeks ago, installed it all this past weekend, took it out for a drive and im not hitting vtec, no codes, got tons of oil pressure, vss is working fine.

I cleaned out the filter on the solenoid, it did have some metal shavings in it.

It worked fine before the rebuild

B16 bottom end
GSR head

also I added some comp cams, but no cross over

any ideas?

just the wire screen is all i can think of. is your vtec wired straight to the ecu? or are you running a vtec harness? check for loose wire connections.

factory harness out of a si, wire's are ok, but ill check again

vss might be out of a d-series, or something, cause the bolt hole dosn't line up with the hole in the tranny

well if the bolt hole doesn't line up then maybe the vss isn't working properly since its not mounted properly........just a thought. good luck though
