Aem Ems on a 89 crx
while the ems is really nice, and if you have the money go for it, but you might be happier getting a hondata setup if youve got the money.. and you WILL have to upgrade to obd1 to use it. but you pretty much cant go wrong with obd1 anyway.. if you dont want to go obd1, then turboedit might be your only choice.. but then youll either need a rom burner or know a shop that can chip it for you.. there are also guys on H-T that can custom your ecu to your setup too.. just different options to think about.
Im currently running an obd1 aem ems(model #30-1000)in my 91 si hatch....It wasnt too hard to convert to obd1...just a jumper harness, ecu (ems in my situation)and a distributor...good luck...
Not trying to jack the theread but I got a 88 hb b16 using a ls ecu so vtec , second o2 and knock arent hooked up. Do I have to wire my harness like if I were to ecu a regular pr3 ecu (vtec , second o2 and knock ) then put a jumper ?

Make sure you're going to use all the features of the AEM EMS. If you're not I'd suggest checking out pgmfi.org. It has everything you need to chip your own ecu. Uberdata (which would require obd1) has basically all the same functions as HONDATA except it's free.
Get the AEM EMS P/N 30-1080(U) for
