Default h22 install prices?

For the guys that paid for install of h22 in your accords, how much did you guys pay? I was quoted $2800 from one shop. That sounds like a lot! More than the actual motor!

When I had my H22 installed - my shop charged me $800 (this included - clutch/flywheel change, new timing belt, water pump, oil pump, etc.....)

another shop quoted me $1,000. I plan on getting a jdm motor with around 30-50 miles, should I still get the timing belt, etc changed?

i was quoted $3500 but thats a good price based on the work being done right the first time, and also based on the people doing the work. Remember, even with an engine install, a lot of people can do them, but when it comes to wiring etc... you want to make sure its done right the first time. I suggest, including the motor it should cost you anywhere between 3000-3500 depending on where you go, just make sure that if you are dishing out that kind of cash, you get a lifetime warranty on any work they have done.

If it's for the H22 motor/H22 trans/H22 ecu turn-key-running, 2800 is a pretty good price.

You might as well change timing belt, water pump and any other belts or parts that might need changing since the motor is gonna be out of the car. its cheaper now and easier since the motor is out.

The shop I used to go to wouldn't charge extra for labor on clutch, water pump, timing belt, etc., ...during a swap if the motor was out of the car.

This could save you $300-$1000, depending where you go, on labor down the road if your shop is willing not to charge extra.

Why don't you get a swap guide and do it yourself? You learn alot about your Accord from this swap and saves you money.....

Im sure that an h22 costs most to swap than an f22b but recently I got an used stock f22b on my car because the other one got screwed up but only cost me $600 for labor....dealership wanted $1400.....

BTW for just the labor your getting screwed big time.....
