h22 install prices?
For the guys that paid for install of h22 in your accords, how much did you guys pay? I was quoted $2800 from one shop. That sounds like a lot! More than the actual motor!
i was quoted $3500 but thats a good price based on the work being done right the first time, and also based on the people doing the work. Remember, even with an engine install, a lot of people can do them, but when it comes to wiring etc... you want to make sure its done right the first time. I suggest, including the motor it should cost you anywhere between 3000-3500 depending on where you go, just make sure that if you are dishing out that kind of cash, you get a lifetime warranty on any work they have done.

You might as well change timing belt, water pump and any other belts or parts that might need changing since the motor is gonna be out of the car. its cheaper now and easier since the motor is out.
The shop I used to go to wouldn't charge extra for labor on clutch, water pump, timing belt, etc., ...during a swap if the motor was out of the car.
This could save you $300-$1000, depending where you go, on labor down the road if your shop is willing not to charge extra.

exaclty.......even though the only swapped car i personaly know was done under different circumstances....but a fair price is in the 800-1500 range, depending on how much "extra" stuff your gonna have them do
Im sure that an h22 costs most to swap than an f22b but recently I got an used stock f22b on my car because the other one got screwed up but only cost me $600 for labor....dealership wanted $1400.....
BTW for just the labor your getting screwed big time.....
