gas shooting out of throttle bodie. WTH?
ok...so we did a swap in a 88 crx hf choice of motor is b16a. the problem. wont start. shoots gas out of the throtte bodie. all 4 pistions are getting gas and now the distrubutor is ok. no codes. injectors are fine. also the compression is good as well
hmm, shooting gas out of the TB? means, uhh a valve isnt closing when it suposed to. think about it, on the compression stroke, all the valves are suposed to be closed, if one of them are open, ooohhh, lets say an intake valve, all that gas is going to go out.
possible, check the timming belt, and timming of the cams in relation to the timming marks, make sure it all lighns up. also, does it Crank like crazy? Like Crank really fast? Cause if theres no compression, the motor will spin freely.

Lol, motor spinning backwards? But seriously there is only one possibility I can think of and it would be pretty slim. If you have an aftermarket FPR the diaphragm could be blown. If it is that will allow fuel into your vacuum lines. Pair fuel being pulled into the intake manifold from the fpr w/ blown diaphragm and a backfiring engine from bad timing and you could have fuel coming out of the intake manifold.
Or you guys seriously misdirected a gasline or tapped into one somehow. But there is no reason any air should be coming OUT of the tb. That's the hard part to explain unless your timing is off and there is backfiring. ******* baffling.

lol, well thank you for your help. but we are running stock everything. i was thinking about it last night. cyl. 1 is the only cly that will run on. the other 3 wont. i pull out the spark pulg..they still look BRAND NEW but with gas dripping on them. but we are getting spark..but the spark wont go boom in the hole. so..thats another option. but still the gass cloude out of the TB is weird. thanks though guys!
thanks guy for your help. but we all where WAY wrong. the spark plug wires 3 of them had small *** cuts. runs like a champ now! thanks guy for the help
